  • We’ll transfer you from the airport and get you settled at your basecamp for the next 6 days.

    After a casual cocktail hour and hopefully not to painful ice breakers, we’ll wander down the road for a proper Oaxacan welcome dinner.

  • Today we discover the city - market visits, cultural sites and lunch on your own to explore some more of the city at your own pace.

    To punctuate the day, we’ll kick off the evening with a mezcal tasting with some dear friends, followed by dinner at one of our favorite local spots.

  • Feeling artsy? Good! Today, we’ll head outside of the city to visit traditional weavers and sit down for a home-cooked lunch. If we have the energy, we’ll make our way to a women’s ceramic cooperative.

    Dinner will be at one of our favorite establishments that pays homage to Oaxaca’s diverse gastronomy - a little sneak peak for what’s to come the next day.

  • For those who want to stretch their legs before the adventure ahead, we’ll start the morning with a stroll through one of Oaxaca’s beloved neighborhoods.

    We’ll officially start our morning learning the unspoken rituals of Oaxacan coffee culture, only to roll up our sleeves in the afternoon and learn how to make authentic Oaxacan dishes.

    Dinner is yours to enjoy.

  • Today is Figora’s “Choose Your Own Adventure” day, where you’ll have the option to choose an experience that explores one of our pillars more deeply: heritage, hands, or harvest. Or if you’d rather sleep in, shop a little, or wander the cobblestone streets (maybe even stopping for a mezcal or two), the choice is yours.

    We’ll reconvene for a cocktail hour before heading to our final dinner together - sharing memories, making a few toasts, celebrating the journey we’ve shared.

    We recommend getting to Oaxaca no later than 3 PM to allow plenty of time to check-in before we kick off our trip.

  • Our standard deposit & payment structure is:

    ❋ At the time of booking: 25% of total trip cost due as a deposit

    ❋ 120 days before departure: The remaining balance is due

    If you book within 120 days of departure, full payment is required at booking.

  • Our standard cancelation policy is:

    ❋ Before 120 days before departure: deposit is nonrefundable, but can be turned into trip credit to be applied to a different Figora product

    ❋ After 120 days before departure: 100% non-refundable

  • We'll be staying in 4 to 5 star hotel located in the Centro of Oaxaca.

    We value boutique, locally owned properties that are committed to sustainability and ensure an eco-conscious travel experience.

  • Figora's Oaxaca is considered lightly active. Although the trip itself is not strenuous, we will be exploring primarily on foot, which includes encountering cobblestone streets, uneven paths and stairs, as well as periods of standing during workshops and visits. Certain activities may present challenges depending on the physical limitation. Let us know if you have any concerns.
